So you chose a Deity blend! Whether you choose to use it for simmering or an offering to a Goddess/ deity the properties chosen for these blends are made with the same intentions. Below you will find all of our Goddess blends, a small blurb for what they are used for and why we chose each ingredient.
Hekate/ Hecate: Also “Mother” for many Witches as she is the Goddess of Witchcraft and Necromancy. Hekate is the Queen of the Night and Queen of Crossroads. She serves as an intermediary between spirits and humans, with the ultimate skeleton key she can unlock the gates to ALL realms. Some of the best time/ places to present your offerings to Hekate is after nightfall, at a crossroads or the last day of every month.
Here are the ingredients we chose for this Goddess.
Lavender- One of the many Herbs and plants Hekate is associated with is Lavender. While it may be well known for its calming properties it’s also known for enhancing self love and deeper intuition. Offering Mother lavender could be your way of telling her you are open to her wisdom and want her guidance as you are at a personal crossroads. Hekate very much appreciates Lavender.
Garlic- Hekate may have a dark side, but in she is also a healer and herbalist. She favors garlic as an offering because it is known to heal illnesses and useful to any healer as herself. Our garlic may be dried, but it is made with new cloves as to not offend Hekate. All Goddess should be offered the best that you can give them.
Eggshell- For the Goddess of life, death and regeneration we thought eggshells would be a good offering to represent the life cycle of all the women Hekate looks after in this life and the next. These eggshells are not just your run of the mill store boughtt eggs either. They are from home grown and loved ducks who live a very happy life. The way Mother would approve.
Yarrow- Yarrow is not only good for women’s health (we know how much she loves to protect women), but it also holds many magickal properties. Obviously for the Goddess of Magick we want to offer what she would want/ need. Yarrow is known for its protection, warding and divination making it a very powerful and useful herb to her.
Pomegranate- When we think pomegranate we think of Persephone (at least I do). That’s because the seeds of pomegranates are associated with death. Life, death and transitions of all kinds to be precise, much like Mother herself. They are also associated with fertility which another one of Hekate’s known traits.
